Meet Audra Sampley

My name is Audra Sampley and I am a daughter, wife, mom, sister and friend. I am a somewhat funny, outgoing person that loves God, loves my family, and loves the friends that God has put in my life. I try to love all people and to see them the way God does-through his eyes. I am a big believer in “what goes around comes around” and I try to treat all people equally and with the respect they deserve. I try to love my neighbor as myself and forgive quickly and ask for forgiveness when necessary. I am the mother to Caden, Micah, and Hannah who are 2, 3, and 5! I had three kids in four years. I am married to my husband, Travis and we will be married six years in December. I strive to be what King Solomon’s mother refers to as The Proverbs 31 Woman. I want to a godly wife and mother and to be witness to others.

My Story:

I have been overweight for some years now and I am so desperate to change. I need to be healthy so I can be the best person I can be because being overweight holds you back from accomplishing things and it also affects the quality of what you can do. I have finally had enough of being overweight and being so unhealthy. I know that I don’t need just another diet, but a complete Lifestyle change and that I can’t do it by myself. I have been discouraged and I did not know where to start or what to do. I happened to be on Facebook and re-connected with an old friend from High School, Fawn Woodfin. Later I realized that she was a Lifestyle Coach and writes for fitness publications and the light bulb went off. I contacted her and that is how this journey began.

I have several goals and dreams and things I want to do as I journey through this weight loss. I am going to be a participant in the 2011 Rump shaker 5k (a colon cancer walk/run) in Birmingham next year in honor of my beautiful grandmother, Elsie Conner, who passed away from colon cancer. I want to help raise money for Locks of Love, a company that takes donated hair and turns it into wigs for cancer patients who have lost theirs. I want to educate and empower people that are in my situation and let them know that they are strong and capable, valuable and worthy; they are worth the time and the effort for someone to invest in them. I desire to help them develop a relationship with God and to see themselves the way that He does, in a perfect loving way. I want people who have been or are in my shoes to know that there are people out there that may not know you, but will support you, love you, and cheer you on. My dream is to eventually open a Wholeness Center that will be dedicated to changing lives and helping those in need.

In everything I say and do I hope to honor God and bless Him. I will always give Him praise and he will receive the glory in all the good I do because none of this would be possible without Him. I know that this journey is not all about me, but rather the people that God wants to reach out and touch. I am just a vessel willing to be used for His glory. God Bless all of you. I pray that all of you that follow this journey be blessed exceedingly above all you can think or even imagine. I pray that God’s supernatural favor be upon you and that you will be revitalized with a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit. I pray that you are encouraged and that everything your hands touch will be blessed. I appreciate you more than you could ever know. Thank you for praying for me, you my friends are life changers and together we can change the world-one act at a time.
